加强国际科技合作，推动高校科研工作----福建农业大学实施国际合作项目的实践经验与理性思考（二）

摘 要：加强国际科技合作，推动高校科研工作的发展，是高校教育国际化的重要组成部分。福建农林大学从1998年开始，参与主持和实施由加拿大国际发展署（CIDA）提供资助的国际合作项目，通过引进国外智力资源，培养和造就一批优秀的国际化学科和学术带头人，有效提高了项目有关单位、专业或学科的团队实力，拓展了学术领域，推动科研工作的不断发展。实践表明，加强国际科技合作是加快高等教育国际化发展步伐，提高学校的核心竞争力和综合实力的有效途径。
Enhancement of International Cooperation for Promoting Scientific Research in Colleges and Universities

Abstract: In the globalization process of higher education, it is very important to enhance international cooperation of science and technology and promote scientific capacity building of our universities. From 1998 to 2003 Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU) is involved in two international cooperation projects funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Based on the projects, human resources at FAFU are better developed for improving the capacity of work teams involved, extending the academic realms in some fields, and promoting the scientific activities. It is indicated that the cooperation of science and technology offers an effective approach to accelerate the internationalization of higher education and promote core competitiveness and comprehensive strength of universities.
